| Much of my work is highly intuitive, creating a canvas or backdrop of landscape allowing for a superimposition of personal emotion. A recent Nobel Peace Prize in science was awarded for the discovery that all solid matter, including atomic particles, reacts as liquid form. The obvious challenge of glass as sharp, painful, demanding, yet soft and sometimes spectacular is irresistible. To be painterly with such materials becomes an overwhelming passion and lifelong challenge. Landscapes, being sea, land or space-based, coupled with an endless spectrum of personal emotion, provide a nearly infinite pallet of possibilities. To manifest these possibilities in an honest, new and stunning fashion is my challenge as an artist. black type |
